24in Precision Circular Saw Edge Guide
Are you looking for a circular saw edge that can cut several pieces to the same size with a single setup? Our 24in Precision Circular Saw Edge Guide prevents splintering with anti-chip strips that protect material during the cut and is easy to use with a starting block that protects the saw and enables regular blade guard operation.

24in Precision Circular Saw Edge Guide

Features

Versatile - The circular saw edge ensures straight, accurate, and repeatable cuts without the need for weighing, marking, or keeping the saw on the cut line. It has a long edge guide that matches the straight edge of the sheet you're cutting.

Easy To Use - The precision guide is incredibly simple to use. Simply attach the saw sled onto the aluminum rail after attaching it to the universal sled, which supports most left or right bladed saws.

Design - The 24in circular saw has a built-in measurement scale, so you don't have to weigh and mark each cut. Simply lock the universal saw sled at the desired cut distance, and you're done.

I was skeptical about using this product after reading some of the reviews. The instructions are good, but could be confusing for someone who isn't used to working with power tools. I needed something that would allow me to rip down 4x8 sheets of cabinet grade plywood for a project I was doing. I also needed it to be accurate and reproducible. After getting the saw setup on the jig this thing was a breeze. Like using any saw, you can create "play" in your cuts...but I was able to make all the 8 foot cuts I needed. I was able to get better precision cuts and a nicer edge than I could have on my little table saw with that big of a board. I used my 7 1/4 inch Milwaukee circular saw and this thing was as accurate of a rip saw as I could have imagined. For my purpose I did use a 60 tooth blade. I would HIGHLY recommend this product.

The only con I can see is there are some plastic parts on this Kreg product. If you over tighten some of the set screws holding the saw in place you could crack the entire thing. I did not run into this issue as I didn't over tighten, but I could see how using aluminum parts in these areas could be better.

I had to rip 12-15 sheets of OSB for several projects and this thing worked like a charm for clean, fast, repeatable cuts.

The attachment to your saw takes a few minutes, but once its dialed in you can just keep cutting. It really helps to have a plywood cutting box to help keep your work stable and flat while making cuts. (If you haven't seen or built a plywood cutting box and plan on making a lot of cuts, you should do yourself a favor and google some plans).

Like: I used this as opposed to buying a table saw for breaking down 3/4 inch melamine by myself at customers home. I like this very much and have recommended to friends to purchase as opposed to buying table saw for weekend warriors and professionals that need a quick rip on long material.

Dislike: It works better with corded dedicated saw as removal requires setting up built in tape-measure (if that matters to you) Would have been better in my opinion had some of the screws to assemble had capture nuts instead of screwing into plastic material if you change saws or dismantle it after use or storage.

I was able to install my battery powered circular saw on this really easily by following the instructions.

The instructions were clear and easy to follow with the exception on the last step to line up the saw with the red mark so your cuts are accurate. I followed the steps and did a test cut and it was off by about a centimeter. I tried reading the instructions again and refollowed the steps and the same issue happened.

I resorted to simply making a test cut on some scrap wood and manually adjusting until the cut was accurate.

I used this to build a workbench with plywood which required a lot of cuts that were the same size and each cut turned out to be very consistent.

I wish they had a 3ft/1m max instead of only 2ft, but it was clear that would be a max and they do offer a track saw accessory as well which uses the same plate you mount your saw to.

Works great. I see in some of the other comments that some people have had some issues with making straight cuts. You have to have experience with Circular saw’s and cutting with a guide. I’m a carpenter with over 35 years of experience. Take your time and keep the guide tight to the edge of the material and you will get a perfect cut every time.
