Great chair, very comfortable and seems well made. Easy assembly although a THOROUGH reading of the instructions is recommended. Note for those who complain about assembly: One of the reasons the chair is priced reasonably is that it is NOT assembled. Can't have your cake and eat it too unless you are a Democrat.

I originally purchased a different chair for my new work-at-home lifestyle, and it really sucked. Not only was I struggling to adapt to suddenly being at home without any coworkers (thanks COVID 19!), I no longer had my ultra comfy (and ultra expensive) work chair.

The first chair I purchased did not make my teleworking transition any easier. It was cheap, and it really showed. Very uncomfortable. I'm usually at my desk for 9 hours per day while working, and I needed something better. So I decided to try this chairand it has been an awesome replacement! The back is nice and high, the arm rests are adjustable so I can actually use them if I want, and the cushion doesn't put my butt to sleep. Plus, there are many ways to adjust several settings (seat tilt is one of my faves) so that you can find your perfect comfort setting.

Would definitely recommend this chair. I was even able to put it together by myself. The control mechanism that sits under the chair (the thing that has all the levers for various adjustments) is a heavy sucker, so be careful and use proper body mechanics when lifting it. This heaviness really makes the chair feel solid, and not flimsy like my previous chair.

One thing that I definitely love is the mesh back. It is very supportive, but in a dynamic sort of way. It's not a hard back, the mesh gives it a little "give" so it is supportive, but still comfy. And you can also adjust the tilt of the back and lock it into place wherever you want (or don't lock it if you like to rock in your chair). The seat can even glide forward or backward to help get that perfect setting in conjunction with the backrest.

Would definitely recommend purchasing this chair for anyone that needs to sit at their desk all day. Thank you for the great product

We bought one of these when I first started WFH. I hate chair shopping, and I was dreading the process of researching the oh-so exciting office chair. Long story short, I landed on this one, and now several months later when the wife started WFH, we just bought the same exact one for her, because she kept stealing mine.

Pros:
Has all of the adjustments you're looking for, yes, even that spring-loaded (full butt-and-back) adjustable-tension recline when you want to just kick back like you own the place.
Built sturdy. Structural joints are thick steel, not sheetmetal. The base (which is often complained about on other chairs) is still plastic, but molded thick enough that I don't see it breaking under my 185# abuse.
Screws are pre-dressed with thread locking compound. Nice touch.

Cons:
The stupid forward release lever, you know, the one that no one ever uses that dumps you forward out of your chair? Yeah, it's right up front, and disengages when your calf hits it as you pull yourself forward. Not a huge con, but annoying, and can make a racket when you do the right combination of rock forward and scoot up toward your desk. Maybe I'm just a retread that can't seem to sit in a chair properly. I'll probably drill it and drive a screw through it to lock it in place. Again, I still bought a second chair knowing this, so take this particular con with a grain of salt.

When I moved I had to give up my office chair that had given me three years of sitting without back pain. I was forced to find a new chair that could do the same, and it was not easy. I tried three ergonomic chairs...

-- Poly and Bark Karlen Office Chair
-- Modway Articulate Ergonomic Mesh Office Chair
-- Laura Davidson Empire Setu Replica

I did not like any of them. I also tried them with a coccyx cushion and a lumbar support pillow. I could not sit for more than an hour without pain. Some were too upright, others could not adjust in the right ways, and then I would end up feeling pain and numbness in my lower back, or a pinched feeling between the shoulders. The pain would linger the rest of the day and I was miserable. Even though I'm in good physical shape (I run 5 miles every week, and walk another 5-10), I have always had a really sensitive back.

The Office chair has more adjustments than any of the other chairs I tried. Because of this, I have been able to adjust it to exactly the sitting posture that feels right to me. I've been using it for two weeks now. It's great! For ~$90 it's hard to find a chair with these features.

I'm not a pessimist, but after my Orthopedic Doc highly recommended I step up to an Ergonomic office chair (since I ride one about 70hrs a week) and have ruptured lumbar discs, I expected to pay several hundred dollars for a good chair. I had been looking at the "HM" name brand products trusting they would provide the quality and support I required. I ran across this Office Star product in an independent article where it was highly rated. Given the price difference between this chair and the "HM" products I thought it was worth a shot.

The chair arrived in a heavier than expected box (50+ pounds) which gave me confidence it was well built and sturdy. It turns out my suspicions were correct. This was the easiest office chair I've assembled, very few parts, common tool sizes, clear directions and the FITMENT of the parts was SPOT ON. Very well manufactured. The chair itself is fully adjustable, like the "HM" products which are 4-5 times as expensive. The lumbar support is fantastic! I'm glad I ordered the Brethable chair vs the High Back - since I was able to adjust the height of the chair back to fit the exact area I needed support. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase, and recommend others give it a try as well.
