This is my very first telescope. With so much going on in our beautiful skies each night, I decided to invest in this particular scope based solely upon reviews. It was pretty simple to put together (even my 11yr old son got excited about piecing it together). I love the portability, how easy it is to change the lenses and the fact that I can take pictures of what I see (once I figure that out!). I would most definitely 👍 recommend this awesome scope! 💯

I bought this telescope as a gift for my girlfriend who has no prior knowledge of any sort of telescope. After doing some research on pricing, brands, quality, etc, I decided to go with this.

When the package arrived, I could tell that the telescope would be quality - the box weighed over 30 pounds. Almost everything is made of metal - the telescope body, clamps, mount, tripod, eyepieces and adjusters. There are few plastic pieces here and there, like the flexible adjuster extensions and some parts of the tripod, but otherwise, everything feels sturdy and well-made.

Overall this is a great telescope, but it might be a bit intimidating to use for some. Put the effort into though and it's well worth it.

Overall it's a great telescope. My original intent was for planetary viewing but I was a little disappointed because it doesn't quite provide the amount of detail I was expecting. But, it does pretty well with deep sky objects - The Orion nebula, Pleiades star cluster, and the Andromeda galaxy. Eventually I am going to upgrade to a scope with a little more aperture for more planetary detail but for now I'm satisfied with my purchase.

We got this for our kid's 17th bday. He LOVES it and it is easy to use. Out of the box, we had it together and zoomed in on the moon in less than 15 minutes! We experimented with both the different lenses and they look sharp!
