i have been using lonewolf climbing sticks for years and I thought i would give these a try. Lone wolf sticks work better on a tree that is less than perfect because the cleats that dig in to the tree can pivot, the weight between the two are so close I can't tell a difference when packing in and out of the woods but i also have molle shoulder straps and waist belt which help distribute weight evenly, I like the Helium sticks much better when it comes to climbing because it sits farther away from the tree which gives your boots more room to climb, there is no steps to flip one way or the other and the steps themselves feel more secure, from a noise stand point both are very quit if you take precautions around the buckles, lone wolf sticks in my opinion nest together better but helium stack together nice too.

This is awesome and you won't be disappointed with either one but the next set of sticks I buy will be the helium's not because there is anything wrong with lone wolf but I really like having steps on both sides of the stick it makes it a lot easier when you get to the top and have to hang your stand, and is also much easier climbing out of your stand in the dark.

These things are strong. I'm 6'4 240 and I can bounce on these. The dual steps are a must IMO vs the lone wolf type steps with alternating step pegs. This allows you to stop with both feet at the same height and install the next stick- or whatever. They pack well with an interlocking rubber grommet that holds them together without them banging together. These grommets will hold them but you will still need to tie them together if carrying on a pack.

The foot pegs are very grippy.....the bite on the tree is excellent.

I changed the straps on mine to Amsteel rope with a locking loop to lighten them up a tad.....

First year I’ve really hunted out of a lock-on. Always used a climber. These sticks made it a lot easier. Simple to use, sturdy, light weight, all the above. Ordered one set. Got them put together realized I would need another set (6 total). Takes about 5 sticks to get he height I like to hunt. Current stand with 5 sticks I’m sitting at 21’. Thats with my last stick being higher than my stand so I can just step over. All in all worth the money. Will order more when they are back in stock.
