I use this for my Cannondale Supersix Evo road bike for very light maintenance. I've used it with the wheel on or off to clean and lube the chain. I would never sit on the bike while on this stand. It's really just for extremely light maintenance like cleaning and lubing the chain or adjusting the gears. If you need a stand for your bike so that the rear wheel doesn't touch the ground then it's fine for that too. It can get a little wobbly but what do you expect for this price range. Overall if used for what it's intended, it's great. Use it for light maintenance; the stand folds up for easy storage or adjusting the height and and the parts where the chainstay goes onto is adjustable for different widths between chainstays.

I needed a mechanic stand of some kind to use with my Specialized Rockhopper (2010) for basic tuning, cleaning, and adjustments, since I was sick of dealing with the bike upside down. I didn't want to go and spend the $200 on a Park Tools mechanic stand, also considering I wouldn't have the space for one in my condo if I wanted to. I looked at the other Park Tools knockoffs that were in the sub-fifty-dollar range, but their reviews were just horrible, and unsurprisingly so. I considered making my own design out of gas piping or PVC, but then I came across this little beauty. It's tiny and inexpensive, but sturdy enough for the types of repairs that I'll be doing (i.e. basic derailleur adjustments, cogset cleaning, chain cleaning, etc.). Once the bike chainstays are settled into the little industrial plastic brackets, and the included rubber O rings are fastened over top of each side, the bike really has nowhere to go and all of the moving parts of the bike move without interference. You can even pick the bike up with the stand still attached and move it around if needed. I rarely purchase items that don't have reviews, but I lucked out on this one and hope other people might give it a go because of my experience with the item.

The only things that I might have changed were to add rubber feet to the bottom of the curved metal legs, to help keep damage down on the powder coating/paint and avoid rust, and possibly widen the base slightly to increase the stability even more. Those are slight mods that don't affect the existing functionality of the item, but would likely improve it overall. I won't detract points from it, considering it's likely at it's current inexpensive pricepoint by keeping it to the basics.

I'm very happy with my purchase, since I would have spent this much dough on piping and supplies for my own DIY version that I planned to make from scratch. Plus, I saved a bunch of time.

These stands hold one chainstay and allow you to spin the cranks for cleaning and minor adjustments. Our new off-road tandem is heavier and not very stable on the Performance stands, so I searched for and found the Ibera alternative. The Ibera is surprisingly stable and holds the new tandem without any issues. The tandem has 27.5 boost wheels with 3.0" tires. These wheels measure 14.25" from the center of the axle to the ground. The Ibera stand is adjustable and will definitely hold larger wheels. It will lose some stability as you move the legs closer together to accommodate larger wheels, and therefore raise the center of gravity. I have two regular work stands, so the Ibera will be used for quick adjustments in the garage, and especially travel. It should allow me to do everything except crank and bottom bracket work.

Yesterday, I had to set up a new e-bike. This one, in particular, required a lot of work, some of it detailed. After tipping the bike over multiple times, I had the "Duh" moment where I remembered that I'd recently bought this stand. Putting the bike on the stand was way easier than I expected, and it performed beautifully. I wish the bike itself had cooperated as well. Henceforth, if I have any work to do on my e-bikes, I'll whip this stand out first thing. Not only will it speed the project, but it'll improve my language while I'm working!

This will not take the place of a proper bike stand, but for routine maintenance it's great. I use it when I clean and lube my chain after rides because it is just so much easier than setting up my full-size stand, hoisting my bike into it and clamping everything down. I clean and lube my chain after nearly every ride now because it is just so much easier to do it using this stand. I turn the holders the opposite way the picture shows the, with the wider edge in toward the wheel and the narrower hook near me. Since it's easier to hook and unhook the rubber ring from the smaller side, it makes sense it should face out so you don't have to put your fingers into the spokes to unhook it.
