My wife and I escaped for a week in Estes Park, Colorado with the goal of backpacking to a campsite and spending an overnight in the wilderness. We hiked from the North Inlet/Grand Lake trailhead, on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park via Trail Ridge road. We followed the Tonahutu Creek trail to where it meets the Onahu trail and stayed at Onahu Creek campsite. Walking over 8 miles that day.

In my pack was the Ayamaya Backpacking 2 person tent. I ended up packing the tent body and fly in its original bag inside my pack. Then I took the stakes and poles, both in their included bags, and packed those on the outer mesh pocket of my Osprey Atmos 65 pack.

We reached camp around 2:30 pm after hiking since 9 am and set out the make camp. We started by putting up the tent which proved to be an easy, and quick task. I brought a blue 6x8 foot tarp to use as a footprint for under the tent as there is not one included. it fit perfectly for length but I plan to cut something from tyvek that would make a floor for the vestibules so that our packs could stay out of the dirt. It was warm when we arrived but reached upper 30's Fahrenheit overnight so the ability to roll back the rain fly was helpful. We could've gone without it to be honest but it was nice to feel a little more covered, so to speak, with it on.

I'd say set up took us all of 10 minutes. That's accounting for both of us being a bit sluggish after having walked a fair distance. I really like this tent. We staked down the corners of the body of the tent. Then we opened the pole bag and assembled the 1 piece "skeleton" that gives this tent its structure. I'm telling you it just clicks in place. Super simple. Then after popping the poles into the 4 corners you click the clips from the tent body onto the poles and the 2 loops that attach to the cross member and within seconds you have a structure. The Rainfly drapes over the poles and is tied onto the poles at key points to keep it in place. There are 4 clips at the corners attached to tensioning straps that allow for a snug fit of the fly to the tent body. Then we guyed out the corners, which since we didn't encounter wind or rain that day would not have been needed. I just wanted to set it up fully in the field.

I did set it up in the back yard prior and encountered light rain and stayed perfectly dry. I cannot, however, speak to a downpour as I've not experienced that in this tent.

I'm going to go through and list my likes and then a few of the things I wish they'd rethink in the design of this tent. Overall I'm super happy with this tent in the just under $100 (at time of purchase) market!

- Very breathable mesh and well ventilated tent
- Light enough at 5.7 pounds. I didn't find it oppressive. You could split it up between 2 hikers if needed. There are lighter options but probably not in this price range.
- Set up is a breeze. The single pole design that clicks into place in seconds combined with the tent.
- Vestibules are adequate.
- We encountered quite a few mosquitos but not a 1 got into the tent thanks to the no-see-um mesh of the tent body.
- Hi visibility guy lines were great for sight in low light
-my wife and i were more than comfortable with the amount of room inside overnight. I'm 6 feet tall for reference.

I really like the space in this tent. For two people backpacking, you could share the 5.5lbs weight and have plenty of room for two pads, plus headroom. Don't be fooled by the cats in the picture, the black and white one is a 22lb large, think more small-mid sized dog. There's space for him as well as my single bed size inflatable mattress. I do wish there were tabs on the ends of the rainfly to stake it out a bit more from the tent netting. The tent has clips to attach to the poles, but the rainfly uses ties. Maybe lighter, but a pia. Still, for the price, size, and weight I'm pleased.

This is the seventh tent I have owned in the sixty plus years I have been camping.

I bought this tent after my last camping trip in mid October 2020, so I have not yet camped in it. I set it up in my house, and it set up easily. The material while thin seems strong, and the seams are well sewn. It came with one more of the "L" shaped pins for staking it down than necessary, so that is a plus. For camping on sand bars, I have carried dollar store dog tie out "cork screws" for better anchoring in wind.

The small size when packed is great as I camp out of a touring kayak and have limited space. There were two colors available, blue and orange, I chose the orange as it is more visible if I ever need it to signal search and rescue people.

The smooth aluminum poles all connected together, and the method of set up not requiring threading though the tent before assembling is easier than any previous tent I have used with the possible exception of a Thermos "POP" tent I had in the 1960s. This one is more compact in the travel bag, and the sides more vertical making interior space more usable. I think this will be suitable for my needs for a number of years.

Awesome tent!!! Very easy to put together (you can do this with just 1 person), it’s lightweight, water resistant, and everything I wanted. I love that this tent has two doors, makes everything very convenient and easy.

Very impressed with this tent so far. I used it solo for 3 nights camping in an Adirondack campground pitched inside a leanto with a cot inside. The tent was very easy to pitch, freestanding and I had no issues. It was very roomy, had a mesh pouch for small items and a hook for a lantern. I have not used it in the rain.
