I have a puppy who keeps exploring the fireplace. She has been taking the lava rock out and carrying them around the house as chew toys (sometimes she has about 10 or so scattered amongst her toys). I put a folding table and a big stuffed dinosaur in front of the fireplace--which helped for a while, until she gained some confidence and was no longer scared.

This one was rated well and looked nice, so I bought it. I am very happy with how it looks and the fact that it is wrought iron. It is a nice pewter color and not flimsy. Now my fireplace looks a lot nicer.

We had an old screen in a gold tone that was an insert ,hated it! We cleaned our fireplace and started looking for a new screen. We did not want anything to fancy and this screen is just right.
