This machine does exactly as advertised. We planted rows of corn, okra, beans, and peas this past summer with the Earthway seeder and it all came up! Our rows were about 50 yards long and we had about 6 rows, it took about 2 hours total to plant with this machine. It would have took about 2 days if we had to do it by hand. I would highly recommend this product if you have a backyard garden, your back will appreciate the purchase!

We used this to plant 2600 sunflower seeds. It went quickly and was fun. They thought of everything, it digs a little trench that is easy to adjust, plants the seed and covers it. All you have to do is load the seeds in and push it. Too bad for us that we have a lot of deer with a taste for sunflowers! We may get a few, but no where near 2600!

We had an old one of these several years ago, I'm sure from a different maker, and I decided it was time to look for a new one. I put it together easily and just had to use pliers to tighten a few bolts. It has several seed discs. You put in the disc, and put the seeds in the seed compartment. As the disc turns, it grabs a new seed, carries it around and drops it in the ground, in the trench that is made by the plow - and then covers it up. Seriously, so convenient when you have a big garden. We mainly used it for corn, beans and peas. It really saves so much time on your hands and knees, placing and covering seeds. We've only used it one year, but so far so good. We hope to be using it for years to come. Our seeds have just popped up this year - I'm so excited for this year's garden!

Overall, this spreader seems to work very well, and seems solidly built. A vast improvement over the cheap plastic one it replaced.

I've only used it once so far, and it worked well. It rolls nicely on the tires and has a good spread. The lever stayed in place for me, but I can see where some of the reviewers mentioned it may vibrate over time. I tightened down the pivot mechanism very tight, so that may be why. If it does happen, it would be easy enough to fix with a bungee cord or similar means.

A solid, well built spreader. It was easy to assemble with straightforward instructions. Used it immediately to spread 300 lbs of fertilizer in an area we are rehabilitating to be a small orchard. Pulled it with our UTV only because of the terrain but would easily be pulled with my zero turn for lawn use. The spreader did well over the rougher terrain of the orchard area.
